Hash Generator

Generate text digests with MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512 or BLAKE2b-512. Use Argon2id with salt and resource settings; copy or download the result.

Maximum 1,000,000 UTF-16 code units. Empty input and whitespace are hashed exactly. Short raw digests update automatically; Argon2 requires Generate.

Plain UTF-8 SHA-256 digest; no salt or password stretching.

Measured timings

Explicit local timing samples: 20 per raw digest, 1 for Argon2id using the current parameters. Times include setup and worker start; they are not a universal speed ranking.

History

History stays in memory unless you choose saving. Stored raw-digest input previews may include your text; Argon2 input is always hidden. Turning saving off removes the stored history.

Hash Generator

Calculate a digest of text to compare it with an expected value or reproduce an API integration example. Choose MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512 or BLAKE2b-512 for the format your system expects. For example, SHA-256 of abc starts with ba7816bf. Ordinary fast digests are not a password-storage scheme.

Argon2id is a separate password-hashing option with explicit salt, memory, passes and parallelism. Its defaults are 64 MiB, 3 passes, 4 lanes and 32 output bytes. Random salt changes each run. PHC output carries verification parameters; raw hex requires keeping those parameters and salt separately. Input is limited to 1,000,000 characters. History remains in memory unless saving is enabled; saved text previews may contain your input.

Features

  • Compute MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512 or BLAKE2b-512 text digests.
  • Configure Argon2id salt and resource parameters, with PHC or hex output.
  • Inspect a SHA-256 comparison result alongside the selected algorithm.
  • Copy or download results; persistent history is optional and Argon2 input previews are hidden.

How to use

  1. Enter text and select the algorithm expected by your application. Try abc with SHA-256.
  2. For Argon2id, review salt, memory, passes, parallelism and output format before generating.
  3. Generate and compare the digest with your reference using the same input and settings.
  4. Copy or download the result. For Argon2id hex output, retain the salt and parameters needed for later verification.
