File Hash Verifier

Scope and limits

Hash the actual file bytes locally with SHA-256, SHA-384 or SHA-512. Files are not uploaded or saved to history. Provide a same-format digest to compare, or leave it empty to calculate only. Hex is case-insensitive; Base64 must use standard padding. Matching a digest alone does not establish a trusted publisher or verify a digital signature.

File Hash Verifier

Read a local file in the browser and calculate a SHA-256, SHA-384 or SHA-512 digest from its actual bytes. Choose hexadecimal or Base64 output, optionally enter an expected digest, and compare the values in the same format. The file is processed locally; verify the algorithm and representation before treating a match as evidence of file integrity.

Features

  • Read the selected file bytes locally without uploading them.
  • Calculate SHA-256, SHA-384 or SHA-512 digests.
  • View the digest as hexadecimal or Base64 and compare an expected value.
  • Copy or download a report with the file name, size, digest and match result.

How to use

  1. Select the file you want to verify.
  2. Choose the SHA algorithm and output format.
  3. Enter the expected digest in the same format when available.
  4. Run verification and review or export the report.
